Sticker printing in Singapore covers a wider range of products than most buyers realise — from cut sheet labels for product packaging to kiss cut sheets for promotional giveaways, roll stickers for production lines and UV direct-to-film stickers for textured surfaces. This guide explains each format clearly so you order the right one first time.
The four main sticker formats — and when to use each
Cut sheet stickers are individually cut to exact dimensions and supplied loose on sheets. The simplest format — best for smaller quantities where you’re applying labels manually. Cut sheet sticker printing at ExpressPrint is available in Simili, Mirrorcoat and Synthetic White.
Kiss cut stickers are cut through the sticker layer only — the backing paper remains intact. This makes peeling and applying each sticker fast and consistent, and allows multiple different designs on a single backing sheet. See kiss cut sticker printing for sizing and material options.
Roll stickers are supplied on a continuous roll with a standard 3-inch (76mm) core — compatible with most commercial labelling machines used in Singapore’s F&B, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries. Best for high-volume product labelling at scale. See roll sticker printing.
Multiple dieline stickers allow different shapes and sizes on a single sheet — useful when you need an assortment of sticker designs in one order. See multiple dieline sticker printing.
Sticker materials explained — Simili, Mirrorcoat and Synthetic White
Simili is a paper sticker with a natural, uncoated feel. The most cost-effective material — ideal for indoor product labels, price tags and promotional stickers in non-moisture environments. Not waterproof.
Mirrorcoat is a glossy paper sticker with a bright, reflective surface. Popular for premium product packaging labels where colour vibrancy matters. More water-resistant than Simili but still a paper-based material.
Synthetic White is a durable, waterproof synthetic film sticker. Tear-resistant and waterproof — ideal for product labels exposed to moisture, refrigeration or outdoor conditions. The material of choice for F&B, cosmetics and pharmaceutical labelling in Singapore.
Kiss cut vs die cut — what’s the actual difference?
This is one of the most common points of confusion in sticker printing.
A kiss cut sticker is cut through the sticker layer only — the backing remains intact. This is what most businesses ordering “custom stickers” in Singapore actually want. The backing acts as a carrier that keeps stickers organised, protected and easy to peel one by one.
A die cut sticker is cut all the way through — sticker, adhesive and backing paper — leaving each sticker fully separated. This is used in industrial and automated labelling where stickers are applied by machine, not by hand. For most custom sticker orders in Singapore, kiss cut is the correct format.
Specialty sticker formats
Warranty seal stickers are tamper-evident labels that reveal a VOID pattern when removed. Used for product warranty seals, electronics packaging and asset tagging where proof of tampering is required.
Hot stamping label stickers combine full colour print on OPP transparent sticker with gold or silver metallic foil stamped over specific design elements. Used for luxury product labels, premium packaging seals and cosmetics branding.
How to prepare sticker artwork in Singapore
Getting your artwork right prevents reprints and delays:
- Format: PDF (PDF/X-1a) or AI preferred. PNG or JPG at 300 DPI minimum also accepted.
- Colour mode: CMYK (4C). See CMYK guide.
- Bleed: 2mm on each side beyond the cut line.
- Safe zone: 2mm inside the cut line — keep all text and important design elements within this boundary.
- For hot stamping: foil areas on a separate spot colour layer.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between cut sheet stickers and kiss cut stickers?
Cut sheet stickers are individually cut and supplied loose. Kiss cut stickers are cut through the sticker layer only, leaving the backing intact — making them easier to peel and apply, and allowing multiple designs on one sheet.
What sticker material is waterproof in Singapore?
Synthetic White is the waterproof sticker material. Ideal for product labels exposed to moisture, refrigeration or outdoor conditions. Available on cut sheet, kiss cut and roll form formats.
What sticker format is best for product labels in Singapore?
For small quantities applied manually, cut sheet or kiss cut in Synthetic White is best. For high-volume production labelling, roll stickers with a 3-inch core are compatible with most labelling machines.
Can I order different sticker shapes and sizes in one order?
Yes. Multiple dieline sticker printing allows different shapes and sizes on a single sheet — useful when you need an assortment of designs or sizes in one production run.
How long does sticker printing take in Singapore?
Cut sheet and kiss cut stickers typically take 3–4 production days at ExpressPrint. Roll stickers take 7–9 days. Hot stamping labels take 7–8 days. Check the individual product page for exact timelines.
