The snap lock bottom box — also known as a 1-2-3 bottom box — has four base flaps that fold and interlock in three steps to form a secure, rigid base. No glue or tape is needed. The bottom holds firmly under pressure, making this box type suitable for medium to heavy-weight products that require extra stability.
The tuck end top closes with a standard tuck flap for easy opening and reclosing. Compared to the auto bottom lock box, the snap lock takes slightly longer to assemble manually but provides a stronger base at a lower cost — a practical choice when base strength matters more than assembly speed.
Strongest folding base
Four interlocking flaps create a rigid, secure bottom. Stronger than standard tuck end and holds more weight than auto bottom lock — ideal for heavy bottles, jars, and dense products.

Pre-glued base snaps open automatically. Faster to assemble — best for high-volume packing lines. Slightly higher cost due to pre-gluing.
Snap lock bottom
Four flaps fold and lock in 3 steps. Takes a few seconds longer per box but costs less and holds more weight. Best when base strength matters most.

For lightweight products that do not need a locking base, the double tuck end product box is simpler and more cost-effective. If assembly speed matters more than base strength, the auto bottom lock box assembles faster with its pre-glued base. You may download and use the Product Size Templates to prepare your artwork. These templates do not contain any designs. They are specific application files which include predefined guide-lines indicating bleed, safety, and trim lines. Preparing artwork in your own template may not meet our sizing specifications and may be rejected. These templates can help eliminate artwork setting error.
