Tent Card Printing Singapore: Sizes, Materials, and Artwork Setup

A tent card earns its place on every table, reception counter, and retail display — quietly directing attention without demanding it. For Singapore businesses running events, promotions, and F&B operations, it is one of the most cost-effective print pieces available. Here is what you need to know about sizes, materials, and how to set up your artwork correctly.

What tent cards are used for in Singapore

The tent card — also called a table tent or counter card — is a folded card that stands on its own, displaying content on both visible faces. In Singapore’s F&B sector, they appear on restaurant tables promoting daily specials, new menu items, and QR code menus. Corporate event planners use them as name placards and directional signs. Retail outlets place them at counters to promote seasonal offers, loyalty programmes, and payment options. Because they stand upright and face multiple directions, they deliver strong visibility at low cost.

Standard sizes for tent cards in Singapore

The most common tent card sizes in Singapore are A5 landscape folded (210mm × 148mm when open, standing at roughly 105mm tall) and A6 folded (148mm × 105mm when open). Custom sizes are available for specific display configurations. Before ordering, measure your intended display surface and confirm the standing height suits your counter or table setup. A tent card that is too tall for a low table looks awkward; one that is too small gets lost among other items.

Paper weight and finish options

Most tent cards in Singapore are printed on 350gsm or 400gsm art card — heavy enough to stand firmly without a supporting base, light enough to fold cleanly. Finish options include gloss lamination (vibrant, wipe-clean surface), matte lamination (less glare, better for text-heavy designs), and soft-touch lamination for premium applications like hotel table tents and high-end F&B.

Artwork setup for tent cards

Tent cards require a landscape PDF with a centre fold line clearly indicated — the artwork on each half should be set up as a separate facing panel, not as one continuous image across the fold. Add 3mm bleed on all four outer edges. Keep important content at least 5mm inside the trim and at least 8mm from the fold line on each side. Files that do not account for the fold line correctly are the most common cause of tent card reprints.

Single-sided vs double-sided printing

Most tent cards are printed double-sided — both visible faces carry content. If you are using one face for a promotional message and the other as a QR code or price list, brief your designer to treat each face as a standalone composition. Single-sided tent cards (printed on one face only) cost less and are appropriate for simple name placards or directional signage at events.

How many to order for your event or venue

For a sit-down event with 100 tables, order 100 tent cards plus 10 percent overage for last-minute additions and replacements. For ongoing retail or F&B display, order a 3-month supply based on typical monthly usage — the per-unit cost drops significantly at higher quantities, and tent cards store flat and take minimal space.
